Biographical Notes:
Claudia Hagadus Long is experienced in the mediation of construction problems, commercial disputes, business dissolutions, real property purchase and sale matters, banking matters, employment cases and conflicts between heirs of decedents' estates.
She has mediated over 800 cases, and she enhances her experience with complete preparation before every mediation. She expects full preparation by counsel and parties, and a commitment by all participants to full participation in the mediation.
Ms. Long understands that every case is a web of facts, law, intentions, emotions and goals. None of these elements can be disregarded in fashioning a solution that benefits all parties. Her substantial experience as a litigator before turning to mediation as a full time practice gives her an understanding of the benefits and pitfalls of trial as a solution to disputes. She is equally comfortable mediating a multi-party construction defect case and a two party inter-family dispute over an inheritance.
Ms. Long also provides arbitration, Special Master, and insurance umpire services in her areas of expertise.
