Biographical Notes:
Judge Chernow has extensive experience as both a mediator and arbitrator since going into fulltime neutral practice in 1993.
As a mediator, Judge Chernow has handled a broad range of cases involving civil, probate and family law matters. The primary concentration of his practice has been in business disputes concerning commercial law; contracts; real property; employment; business ownership, valuation or dissolution; unfair competition; unfair trade or business practice; intellectual property; trade secrets; royalties; insurance coverage; and bad faith. Cases have included personal injury or other forms of tort actions. Has handled many mediations involving high levels of emotional conflicts between the parties.
As an arbitrator, he has handled a broad range of cases, the majority of which are business related, arising from disputes over contracts, real property, commercial law, business valuation, corporate and partnership dissolutions, intellectual property, or insurance coverage issues. Judge Chernow has also arbitrated a number of personal injury, professional negligence, professional fees, uninsured motorist and other tort claims.
Judge Chernow has dealt successfully with multi-party/complex disputes, involving up to 20 parties.

RATES & PAYMENT INFORMATION |
Rates: $550 hourly rate Mediation Compensation. Three-hour (3) minimum.
Charges for all time spent including study, review and decision writing, and travel time and expenses for non-local proceedings.
Cancellation Policy: Cancel/continuation less than 45 days before scheduled date, charges for all time calendared within the 45-day period unless otherwise filled.
