Biographical Notes:
Kenan Oldham is a highly experienced Mediator and Arbitrator who serves as a consultant in the design, installation, and training of corporate and government conflict resolution systems. He is a former trial attorney and Judge Pro-Tem of the Orange County Superior Court who established his Alternative Dispute Resolution Practice in 1990. Prior to that time, he was with the AV rated trial firm of Dickson, Carlson & Campillo in Santa Monica, California. He has previously served as corporate legal counsel for such companies as General Motors and the Enserch Corporation, and brings extensive knowledge of employment and other complex litigation to his alternative dispute resolution clients.
Kenan has successfully mediated and settled many hundreds of lawsuits in his 30-year career. He has conducted conflict resolution training programs for numerous organizations, and he has presented over 35 seminars on mediation and alternative dispute resolution to groups such as the American Bar Association, the American Arbitration Association, the United States Postal Service, the National Association of Securities Dealers, the Pacific Stock Exchange, the Association of Attorney Mediators, the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association, and the State Bar of California, where he serves as chair of the education and programs subcommittee on Alternative Dispute Resolution.
Kenan is the founder of Conflict Resolution Services, a national conflict management company that performs conflict cost and risk management audits, conflict resolution systems design, conflict resolution training, and independent workplace mediation of unresolved internal conflict. The company provides training programs on such topics as mediation, workplace conflict resolution, sexual harassment and discrimination, diversity and cross-cultural communication. The company also provides mediation and arbitration services to the legal community, and offers mediation and arbitration hearing space in Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego Counties.
Kenan is a certified Mediator for the United States Postal Services REDRESS employee conflict resolution system and of the Duke University Private Adjudication Center. He serves as an Arbitrator for the Kaiser Permanente Independent Arbitration panel, and provides employee conflict resolution services to numerous private clients. He is a member of many other dispute resolution organizations and court panels.
