Biographical Notes:
After 34 years of practice and completing advanced mediation training, I began a fulltime mediation practice in 2003. I very much enjoy the mediation process and have been quite successful at settling cases from small business disputes to multi-million dollar claims. I follow-up on all cases, settled and unsettled, to assure performance of settlement agreements and exhaust all possibilities on matters not settled. Two-thirds of my assignments have resulted in settlement at the mediation session. An additional 20% have settled before serious trial preparation. The mediation process opens a line of communication which often results in settlement after the session.
As all litigation attorneys are aware, the court process can be costly in terms of dollars spent,
the value of the time spent by the litigants, and, in many cases, the emotional and physical
damage to the parties. I am pleased to participate in a process which prevents such damage. I continue to take selected arbitration assignments.
