Lee Jay Berman is recognized as a national leader in the ADR profession. A full-time mediator since 1994, he has successfully mediated over 1,300 civil/commercial cases, is President and Founder of the American Institute of Mediation, director of Pepperdine's "Mediating the Litigated Case" program, a Fellow of the International Academy of Mediators, and on the CPR Institute's National Panel of Distinguished Neutrals.

  • Successfully mediated over 1,300 civil mediations, before, during and after litigation. Specializing in complex, multi-party litigation including business litigation, construction defect, products liability, medical malpractice and wrongful death.
  • Several hundred business/commercial cases involving breach of contract, business/corporate matters, shareholder disputes and corporate dissolutions, trade secrets, unfair competition, bankruptcy, fraud, collections, and franchise and partnership disputes and dissolutions (including several law firms).

  • RATES & PAYMENT INFORMATION

    Rates: $400.00 per hour, shared by the parties. Also available at $5,000 for an "unlimited day", which includes "unlimited" mediation session, all study and travel time, and expenses. Cases outside of southern California will be billed at daily rate. All fees deposited in advance of mediation.

    Payment: Deposits for full amount due 2 weeks in advance of mediation. Overage due at conclusion of mediation session. We accept all major credit cards and even PayPal transfers.

    Cancellation Policy: Confirmed dates that are canceled within 14 days will be billed a cancellation fee of 1/2 of time booked. Other cancellations will pay a minimum of a $450 cancellation/rescheduling fee.
