Biographical Notes:

For over 30 years, Ms. Klibanow has specialized in the practice of labor and employment law. She has represented both management and individuals, as well as served as a neutral mediator, and arbitrator. Her practice as an advocate as well as a neutral has encompassed all aspects of the employment relationship including employment discrimination, harassment and retaliation suits, wrongful termination suits including suits for discharge in violation of public policy, whistleblower suits, and related claims for negligent hire and supervision, infliction of emotional distress, defamation, violation of privacy, state and federal wage and hour, leave of absence requirements, and workplace violence disputes.

RATES & PAYMENT INFORMATION

Rates: ARBITRATION: $4,000 Per Day $400 Per Hour; Daily rate applies to hearings. Hourly rate applies to teleconferences and study time. MEDIATION: $4000 per day $400 Per Hour; The per diem charge for mediation is $4,000.00. This charge includes all time spent in convening the mediation, preliminary individual telephonic conferences, review of written briefs and documents and/or any other time required to prepare for the mediation, all hours involved in the conduct of the mediation itself on the scheduled date, and reasonable follow-up after the mediation. If a significant amount of additional time is required, i.e., extensive follow-up services, such time will be billed at an hourly rate of $400.00. The full day charge for mediation is $2,500.00. This charge includes one hour of preparation time (which includes telephonic conferences, review of written briefs and documents) and four hours of mediation. Any additional time will be billed at the hourly rate of $400.00.

Payment: PAYMENT REQUIRED IN ADVANCE. CALL THE OFFICE FOR DETAILS.

Cancellation Policy: ARBITRATION CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellation fees (applicable to cancellations, postponements or continuances): Notice is measured from the commencement day of hearing and fees are payable for all scheduled hearing days. For a hearing of five (5) days or less: three (3) weeks notice; for a hearing of 6-10 days: four (4) weeks notice; for a hearing of 11-15 days: five (5) weeks notice; for a hearing of 16-20 days: six (6) weeks notice; for a hearing of 21 or more days: (8) weeks notice. MEDIATION CANCELLATION POLICY (Full or Half-Day) Notice of postponement or cancellation is required at least twenty-one (21) days prior to the mediation date. The cancellation fee may be waived if the matter can be rescheduled to take place within the next thirty (30) days or if the mediator can book the time on another matter.
