Biographical Notes:

Robert Holtzman is a retired partner; his general civil litigation practice included contract, real estate, building defects, entertainment, trade regulation, corporate securities, corporate and partnership, trust, banking and health care litigation in trial and appellate courts, as well as arbitration and mediation. He handled matters before federal and state regulatory agencies. He continues to serve as a neutral in arbitration and mediation proceedings. Also, Mr. Holtzman consults with members of the firm on dispute resolution matters. His principal clients were health care, entertainment, manufacturing and distribution companies.

He serves as arbitrator or mediator in contract, banking, manufacturing, entertainment, real estate finance and development, construction defect, partnership and corporate dissolution and aerospace and technology cases, including both domestic and international disputes. He has served as neutral arbitrator in national class action and multi-party arbitrations. He has also served as a judge pro tem, referee, mediator and arbitrator for the Los Angeles County courts.

RATES & PAYMENT INFORMATION

Rates: Hearing rate $350/hour for arbitration and mediation. Absent special circumstances, no charge for review or preparation for mediation. Hourly rate applies to pre-and-post hearing arbitration services

Payment: Mediation, deposit one day estimated charge at or before beginning of mediation. Arbitration, deposit one day fee for preliminary hearing upon billing. Deposit anticipated fee for merits hearing (including preparation and post-hearing services) 10 days prior to hearing. Absent special circumstances, deposits shared equally by parties.

Cancellation Policy: No mediation cancellation fee. Fee will be charged for cancellation of arbitration merits hearing within 30 days of commencement date. Charge is full amount of first day fee, one-half of each subsequent day fee up to total of five days.
