Judith Rubenstein is one of California's top neutrals. Judith's creativity, ability and persistence can usually find a bridge where resolution seems hopeless. Judith successfully mediated an extremely difficult case in which the intense emotions and wide gap in positions between parties prevented the first mediator--a retired Superior Court Judge--froma gaining any traction during two long days. Judith handled the parties and attorneys expertly. She created and laid out potential solutions and she got us working on the ultimate resolution in this very complex case. But for Judith, I'm convinced that the matter would have gone to a bitter and expensive trial that would have resulted in a loss for everyone. I have recommended her to my closest colleagues for disputes involving difficulties between personalities, which is often as core obstacle of resolving any dispute. |

Judith has skills that few other mediators possess. Judith has successfully mediated several cases for me. Whenever I have a case in which emotions are high and great skill is needed to bridge the gap between the parties, I always think of Judith. |

Judith has mediated several cases for me. Most recently, a case I never dreamed would get resolved voluntrily. Emotions ran high on the plaintiff's side and many egos were involved, but her tremendous skill bridged the gap between the parties. I have also taken Judith mediation training which is excellent. |

When I first heartd the concept of mediation mentioned in Santa Barbara County, it was connected to Judith's name. Judith was mediating cases in our area before it was a methodology accepted by the bench or bar. She is truly a pioneer in the filed of Alternative Dispute Resolution. She has consistently and successfully mediated hundreds of case referred from the Court and she is known to be the neutral that can handle difficult cases. |
