Biographical

In 1995, Len Levy began serving as a settlement officer, and in 1998 began mediating cases. Since that time he has successfully resolved a multitude of cases through mediation, many of them thought by the parties and their attorneys to be unsettleable .

Len is in great demand as a mediator because, in addition to proven mediation skills, he has extensive substantive experience in a number of areas which enhances his effectiveness as a mediator. Those areas include insurance law (including bad faith litigation), construction, real estate (including landlord tenant, title insurance, and other matters), commercial law (including virtually all types of business disputes), surety and fidelity law, employment disputes, business entity disputes partnerships, corporations, LLCs), personal injury claims and environmental disputes.

As a litigation attorney for over thirty years, Len Levy has represented plaintiffs and defendants in complex legal disputes. His creative approach to litigation has earned him a reputation with parties and attorneys as a fair minded individual, adept at finding novel ways to resolve complex matters.

Now, as a fulltime mediator, Len Levy explores the issues and goals of the parties, and facilitates their reaching an agreement which is a "win-win" result for all parties to the dispute. His legal and mediation experience and training, as well as his excellent interpersonal skills, patience and tenacity mean that he brings to the mediation process those tools necessary to facilitate settlements. Len explores all issues necessary to achieve settlement, many of which may not be addressed at all in a litigation context, and many of which may not have been apparent to the parties themselves.
